In 2006, AAA and Roush Racing are teaming up for the upcoming NASCAR Nextel Cup racing series. AAA, the organization that helped pioneer and officiate motorsports in the United States until 1955, will become the primary sponsor of Roush Racing’s flagship No. 6 Nextel Cup Ford Fusion. In addition, top veteran driver, Mark Martin, will extend his “Salute to You” tour and return to pilot the car for one more year, with Todd Kluever set to take over the reins from Martin in 2007.

“It’s great to be partnered up with AAA,” said Martin. “They have a fantastic organization and a great reputation. I’m excited about the services they provide to many of our fans, and I am looking forward to working with AAA.”

Todd Kluever raced in the 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and will race full-time in the Busch series this year.

Roush Racing
Roush Racing is the largest race team in the world and one of only four teams to win a championship in all three major NASCAR divisions, including the 2003 and 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup champions.

The Chase for the Nextel Cup, NASCAR’s new championship format, qualifies only the top 10 drivers after 26 races to battle for the championship crown over the last 10 races of the season. During the 2005 season, Roush Racing fielded five of the 10 drivers in the hunt for the Chase for the Nextel Cup: Greg Biffle, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch. In 2004, Roush Racing fielded three drivers: eventual champion Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and Mark Martin. Consistently fielding top drivers is why Roush Racing is one of the most successful race teams in NASCAR racing.

Watkins Glen International
AAA Western and Central New York is the Official Auto Club of Watkins Glen International and supports the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race at The Glen on Aug. 13, 2006. Watkins Glen International is the only track in New York State to host a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event, and is proud to be celebrating its 20th Anniversary of NASCAR Nextel Cup Racing at The Glen in 2006! Tickets for all of the events at the historic track are on sale now and AAA member discounts will be available. Visit www.TheGlen.com or call 1-866-461-RACE for more information.
